Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel Swatches and Review

Left to Right: 38 Lime Catwalk, 42 Orange Creation, 44 Bleu model, 43 Magenta Show, 41 Rouge Fashionista

After recently developing a mild nail polish addiction I ended up at the Bourjois stand in Priceline eyeing off these babies. Their bold colours and interesting packaging caught my eye and seeing as I love so many other products by Bourjois I decided to give these a go. I am glad to say I was not disappointed, these are another winner from Bourjois to me!

Left to Right: 41 Rouge Fashionista, 43 Magenta Show, 44 Bleu model, 42 Orange Creation, 38 Lime Catwalk

The packaging is really cute and the lid is quite large making it easy to grip, the colours also match the nail enamel colour to a T which is really helpful when picking shades.

Bourjois states "Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Polish contains twice as much vinyl as the original So Laque and has a high retention of up to seven days. The adhesive resin coats nails with a flexible, ultra brilliant and resistant film. "

I really do love the formula of this nail enamel as it has highly pigmented, a smooth consistency when appling it, and dries fairly quickly. It is ultra shiny even without a top coat and the colour never faded plus it only took me two coats and it was done!

The only flaw of this product I have found is the "ultra shine and hold for up to 7 days" which is stated on the bottle can be misleading. Yes it shined for 7 days but it lasted me around 4 days before it started to chip at the tips for me. However 4 days is plenty when it comes to my nails and nail polish.

Overall I love these nail polishes and I formula right up there along side my OPI nail polishes.

I hope you found this review helpful,

Easy Weight Loss Tips.

I thought I'd share with you all some tips I have discovered and use to help maintain a healthy weight range and you can use to loose a few kilos if needs be.

1. No more sugary drinks! This includes Sodas, juices or any other sweetened drinks. Instead stick to water or tea.

2. Don't buy junk food whilst grocery shopping. If you don't have it around you can't eat it right? Try to avoid the junk food isle all together if possible. Instead buy lots of fruit, nuts and vegetables to snack on.

3. Cut down on foods high in salt and sugar. Obviously this includes snacks like chips, lollies, and high processed foods.

4. Replace sugar with honey or natural sugar, my favourite is apple juice concentrate which can be found in the health food section. This can replace sugar in cooking as well as things such as your tea or coffee, cereal, etc.

5. Read the food labels, you'd be surprised how often "low fat" or "healthy option" foods are not as good as they appear. Again, avoid them if they are high in sugar and/or salt. One major fiend that sneaks in high dosages of sugar is most breakfast cereals, try natural muesli or rolled oats instead.

6. Do not be fooled by "multigrain" options. This is not wholegrain and is still highly processed. Stick with wholegrain wherever possible.

7. Drink lots of water! You have all heard this before!

8. Walk as much as possible. I'm not saying leave 2 hours early and hike it to work and back, but park a bit further away or take the stairs instead of the lift. Every little bit counts.

9. Carry a snack. You will be less tempted to hit up that chocolate bar in the vending machine if you carry around a handful of nuts or an apple in your bag for when hunger starts to hit.

10. Don't skip meals. You are more likely to binge when you do get food if you skip meals when you are hungry.

11. Cut out alcohol, or at least cut back. Alcohol ruins your metabolism and can actually make you hungry despite all the extra calories you are consuming in mixed drinks.

These are all easy steps everyone can take to combat the ever growing weight problem of our society. These are only a few steps I thought of that you can start right away with, I would love to hear any other hints or tips you all have!

Happy healthy living everyone.

August Favourites

Yes yes, I know we are currently over a week in to September so this is a bit late, but I am so swamped with work at the moment. I simply haven't had a chance to post :( Better late than never right? Well here it is, my favourite products for August.

Revlon Lipstick 430 Softsilver Rose
A gorgeous rosey pink shade that I love wearing for spring!

Miss Dior Cherie Perfume
I love the scent of this perfume for spring. It's very sweet and feminine, not to mention the bottle is so cute :)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer Shade 53
I've always had troubles with dark circles under my eyes and this stuff covers them right up. The shade is a perfect match for my skin (NC25 for reference) and I love the formula as it doesn't crease or irritate my sensitive eyes.

Loreal Nail Polish Shade 602
I love these new nail polishes by Loreal! They have a gel formula mixed in to them so they are more resistant to chipping and only took two coats to have a perfect colour. I also love the colours available, this mint shade is my favourite right now. :)

Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Face Cream
If you have dry skin like mine you will love this stuff. I only started using it in August and it is great. It's very rich but hasn't caused any breakouts and has really helped keep my dry skin under control.

Guerlain Success Future Night Care
This was given to me as a gift and I am so thankful for it. Every morning when I wake up after using this my skin is so soft and dewy, I have noticed a big difference. There isn't much product in the container but a little goes a long way.

Jurlique Moisture Replenishing Mask
A great face mask to help add a bit of moisture to my dry skin! I use this once a week and really like it. The smell however does remind me a little of tequila shots but this could be because the first time I used it was after a particularly boozey night... But it is great for when my skin needs a little pick-me-up!

What have your favourite products been this month?

Christian Dior Rogue Dior Lipstick, Swatches + Review

Today I am going to review and swatch the three Rogue Dior lipsticks that have recently made it in to my ever-growing lipstick collection! The colours I own are 776 Script Fuchsia, 721 Red Icon and 678 Rose Diablotine.

All of these lipsticks are so fantastic. Great quality, great pigmentation, smooth even texture, good staying power, no bleeding and so creamy and moisturising. I really cannot think of anything negative to say about these lipsticks (Maybe the price, I'm sure we could love everything to be a little cheaper)! I also really love the colours, the pinks are a great colour for summer too. I definitely recommend these to anyone thinking of getting them.

Outfit + Introducing my mother!

Mum arrived a few days ago and this is my first chance to update! I picked her up and after dropping her stuff back at to my apartment we caught the ferry in to the city for some delicious ramen and a bit of shopping.

Here is a picture my mother took of my outfit whilst we waited for the ferry :)

Now on to the personal stuff. Just warning you, there will be lots of random pictures ahead! Starting off with mum through it would be a nice photo of me eating breakfast.... Right mum... So here I am on my balcony with a bowl of yoghurt, muesli and strawberries. Yum!

Then mum playing the paparazzi as I get ready:

Then afterwards we went to a cute little coffee shop in Elizabeth Arcade in the CBD:

And that was the first day of me having my mum come visit! More photos of our adventures are sure to come :)

Something less girly.

Today I wanted to try to dress a little less feminine and try out a more "grunge" look. Crops and high-waisted pants are trending right now but I decided to steer away from the spring prints and go for something a little more dark, I hope you like it :)

Top: Ally
Pants: Ally
Necklace: Ebay
Jacket: Dotti
Shoes: Famous Footwear

In other news, Mum's plane arrives in the morning! I will try to get some nice photos of our adventures for you all.
